BOONE, N.C. — Since making his first jump to Triple-A in June, former App State outfielder Jaylin Davis has showed off his power with the Rochester Red Wings. Davis leads Minor League Baseball with 13 home runs, 33 RBI, 30 runs scored, 20 extra-base hits and 83 total bases since June 24. In just 33 games with the Red Wings, Davis is slugging .729 and has driven in 35 runs for the Minnesota Twins' Triple-A affiliate.

Jaylin Davis – OF, Rochester Red Wings (AAA – Minnesota Twins)

Davis' power has been on full display in his past 10 outings with the Red Wings, crushing five home runs and driving in 11 runs. The former Mountaineer recorded a home run in three straight contests from July 13-15, notching six hits while amassing 15 total bases. His three-hit outing with a stolen base on July 15 propelled Rochester to a 11-4 win over Norfolk. In July, Davis has crushed nine home runs in just 20 games. He is also batting .386, slugging .814 and reaching base at a .476 clip so far this month.
Jeffrey Springs – LHP, Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers transferred Springs to the 60-day injured list on June 28, which makes him eligible to pitch again in late August. Texas previously placed Springs on the 10-day injured list with left biceps tendinitis on June 19. Before his injury, Springs tallied four victories and recorded 25 strikeouts for the Rangers.
Matt Brill – RHP, Jackson Generals (AA – Arizona Diamondbacks)

In five outings in July, Brill has allowed just three hits and two walks for the Generals. The right hander recorded a scoreless outing on Saturday, retiring two batters in an eventual 9-6 win over the Montgomery Biscuits. The former Mountaineer has delivered a scoreless outing in seven of his previous nine appearances for the Generals.
Colin Schmid – LHP, Peoria Chiefs (A – St. Louis Cardinals)
Peoria Chiefs (A): 12 App, 12 GS, 3-5, 5.28 ERA, 61.1 IP, 43 R, 36 ER, 78 H, 27 BB, 56 K, 1.71 WHIP
Schmid has started in all 12 of his appearances this season for the Peoria Chiefs, notching four quality starts and three victories. The left hander yielded just three runs in six innings while striking out five batters on July 12. On Thursday, he recorded a season-high eight strikeouts without walking a batter against Fort Wayne.
Chandler Seagle – C, AZL Padres 1 (Rookie – San Diego Padres)

Seagle went 2-for-4 with a double on Saturday. Seagle's two-hit game was his third of the season, where he posted a 3-for-5 day on July 3 and a 2-for-2 performance on June 19. In seven games in July, Seagle is batting .310 while reaching base at a .375 clip.
